Début : 1st July | Durée : 12 Months+ | Région : Antwerp (BE) | Budget : NEG ------------ Description : Software Engineer (co-Simulation) Antwerp, Belgium English speaking START DATE: 1st July One of our blue-chip clients is urgently looking for a Software Engineer. Please note that the start date of this role is 1st July. My client are looking for a SW engineer who will contribute to the definition and development of a software/hardware simulation environment. (aka co-simulation) Your main responsibilities will include : ◊ investigate the existing simulation platforms that are being used to simulate the separate components like : CPU, network processor ◊ build a simulation platform that will allow us to execute configuration as well as traffic test cases. ◊ the platform should run under Linux and must not be cycle accurate. ◊ the platform should mimic the target NGPON2 hardware ◊ usage of verilog / VHDL models are out of the scope. ◊ execution speed and debug capabilities are of crucial importance. ◊ responsible for the quality of your delivery. ◊ interacting with project managers to give them regular updates of identified issues. Your main challenges will be: ◊ to enjoy being challenged on a daily basis. ◊ to think out-of-the-box . ◊ to apply creative solutions to complex technical problems. ◊ the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects in a fast paced working environment. ◊ to be able to work both independently and as part of an agile team. Qualifications : Technical background and experience: ◊ You hold a Master’s degree in (applied) engineering sciences: Electrical engineering, Telecom or Computer science engineering (option embedded software) or you have equivalent knowledge by experience. ◊ You have a broad interest in the telecom sector. ◊ You have experience with co-simulation or equivalent simulation environments. ◊ You have knowledge of embedded systems. ◊ You have experience in scripting in TCL and/or Python and programming in C/C++ ◊ You can work fluently with Linux ◊ You have basic knowledge of IP and GPON technologies. ◊ You have the skill to draw and explain/document your test design in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). ◊ You are acquainted with the agile way of working in a multi-disciplinary software team. ◊ You are fluently in English in order to interact with other development sites Please send CV for full details and immediate interviews.
